50-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training

Why Yin Yoga?

Yin yoga is more than silence. It is a practice of mindfulness, presence, and letting go. In a fast-paced everyday life, yin gives us the opportunity to stop, breathe, and come back to ourselves.

This 50-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training is designed for yoga teachers and dedicated practitioners who want a deeper understanding of yin yoga. We delve into the philosophy, anatomy, teaching methodology, and the more subtle art of holding space for others.

The education is offered in a hybrid format that combines online learning with physical gatherings. This gives you the time and space to integrate knowledge at your own pace, while receiving direct guidance and sharing practices in a supportive community.

Structure and format

The education consists of 50 hours of teaching, divided into lectures, practical work and guided self-study.

You will receive, among other things:

  • Asana lab both physically and via videos where we go through key yin postures in depth
  • Lectures on anatomy, the history and philosophy of yoga, and energy systems
  • Practice in teaching, and in giving and receiving feedback
  • Guided yin practices to help you integrate what you learn
  • Self-study that supports the learning process along the way

You will:

  • Exploring the foundations of yin yoga, including history, principles, and philosophy
  • Immerse yourself in yin anatomy, focusing on connective tissue, joints, range of motion, and how the body responds to stress and relaxation
  • Learn how to safely and consciously guide students through yin postures
  • Understand sequencing, use of yoga equipment, and different variations of poses so that the practice can be adapted to different bodies
  • Experience the connection between yin yoga, meditation and the energetic aspect of the practice
  • Building confidence in teaching yin classes that are thoughtful, supportive, and holistic

Meet your teachers:

Eilin Ma Dalby and Halat Sophie Askari

We have both taught yoga for many years, and yin has gradually become an important part of both our own practice and the way we teach.

Through experience, we have seen how yin yoga adds something of its own. It creates space, stillness and depth, and acts as a natural complement to more dynamic forms of yoga and movement. Yin not only supports physical health through work with connective tissue and joints, but also invites a calmer and more reflective practice that can contribute to balance in a busy everyday life.

In this education, we share our knowledge, experience and joy for yin yoga in a practical and accessible way. Whether you want to expand your toolbox as a teacher, or go deeper into your own practice, we hope this journey can provide both inspiration and support.

YACEP Yoga AllianceĀ

Upon completion of the course, you will receive a 50-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training certificate. The classes can be registered as continuing education (YACEP) with Yoga Alliance, if applicable.
