What is pranayama?


Pranayama is the art and science of conscious breathing. It is a practice from yoga in which you use specific breathing techniques to calm the mind, energize, or create balance in the body.

Through various techniques you can influence the nervous system, reduce stress and improve both concentration and well-being. The breath is always with us, but when we learn to use it consciously, it can become a powerful tool for both body and mind.


Who is the course suitable for? 


This course is equally suitable for those who are completely new to breathing techniques, as well as for yoga teachers and others who want a deeper understanding of pranayama.

Whether you want to use breathwork to improve sleep, gain more energy, or deepen your yoga practice, you will learn simple and effective techniques that you can put into practice right away. The course provides both theory and practical exercises, so you can learn to use the breath as a tool in your own life – and possibly in yoga teaching.

We have both taught yoga for many years and have seen exactly how powerful breathing exercises can be - both on the mat and in everyday life. Through our own practice and teaching, we have witnessed how different breathing techniques can support everything from stress regulation to increased energy and better focus.

In this course we share our knowledge and experience with you in a way that is both easy to understand and integrate into your own life. We hope you will join us on this journey - either here in this online course, or join us at one of our physical "Calm Breath, Calm Mind" sessions. workshops.

The workshop does not go into as much depth as the different techniques, but is a powerful way to experience exactly how breathing affects the nervous system. It is especially helpful for those experiencing elevated stress.
