Handstands require as much mental strength as physical balance.


In our fast-paced world, where time flies and screens take over, balance, both in mind and body, can be a challenge. When it comes to challenging yoga poses, few match the handstand. On the surface, it looks like a test of muscle and balance. But beneath the surface lies a deeper truth: handstands require as much mental courage as they do physical strength.

When we lift ourselves up into a handstand, we must confront our inner doubts and fears. Thoughts like "I can't do this" or "I'm going to fall" arise. Overcoming these requires an inner strength and courage that can only be built through consistent and structured training.

In this course we work our way up from low to higher levels, allowing you to adapt both mentally and physically. We focus on strengthening key areas such as the shoulders, core and wrists, so the body works with us and not against us. 

But you, the most important thing to take away is that handstands are FUN. Imagine being able to stand on your hands, then! And with this course you can finally do it, if you want. 🤩

Who are the course instructors?


Hi, we are Halat and Peter, and we have the pleasure of teaching this course! We met when I, Peter, became Halat's handstand coach. She made the classic mistakes that many people make in handstands, which is the basis for us creating this course together. We hope that our different backgrounds and experiences will help you achieve your handstand goals.

Halat has many years of experience as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and yoga teacher. She also has a bachelor's degree in sports science with a specialization in anatomy. That's why she will give us an insight into which muscles are involved when we are upside down, as well as pulling us through the workouts. 

I, Peter, on the other hand, have a completely different background than Halat. In contrast to her formal education, I have gained my experience through countless hours on my hands in various positions over the past 15 years. In addition to helping many others reach their handstand goals as both a gymnastics coach and a handstand coach. I have also studied indirectly relevant subjects such as physics at UiO which also appear in the course. My hope for you who take this course is that you will avoid making the same mistakes I have made, so your journey will be easier and more effective than mine!
