Christian Andvig Fredheim
My name is Christian, and I have been teaching yoga since 2012. My journey started with an immersion in yogic and Buddhist philosophy, which struck me right away, especially when I started to apply it both on the mat and in my everyday life. At the time, I was working as a carpenter, but I quickly realized that yoga and Buddhism were the path I wanted to take.
I began studying with teachers from different parts of the world and gradually immersed myself more in both yoga and Buddhism. Over the years, I have taken teacher training courses in Hatha, Yin and Vinyasa yoga, among others. At the same time, the most important learning has come through my own practice, with many hours on the meditation cushion and yoga mat. The educations provided direction and tools, but the experiences from the practice have had the greatest impact.
My commitment to the practice is as strong today as it was when I started. What inspires me most to share is how the physical practice can help us thrive in our bodies, instead of experiencing it as a burden. I also want to convey what Buddhism has given me, especially how meditation and taking responsibility for one's own experience of reality can provide a sense of freedom.
After many years of practice, I can honestly say that I experience a fundamental peace and contentment, and that is perhaps the most important thing I hope to pass on.
